Reese's Whipps   The brand new bar from Reeses is a bit like a 3 Muskateers bar but instead of being filled with chocolate its filled with a soft peanut butter. Its finished off with a cruchy shell which is covered in chocolate. Reese's cups were created in 1928 by H B Reese who actually started off as a  foreman for Hersheys. After the popularity of these cups they ended up joining with Hersheys in 1963. Our Price: £1.15

Kcal 230 Fat 9g Fat(sats) 6g Carbs 34g

On the wrapper this bar promises it constains 40% less fat than any other standard 50g chocolate bar…oh joy ;) Saying this the bar still contains 230 Kcal which is hardly the lowest your going to find...anyway...

This is much the same idea as Fast break bar which I reviewed last weekend, though there are a few slight differences. Firstly the nougat is peanut butter flavoured, secondly, instead of a thick layer of peanut butter sitting directly on top, the Whipps has a thin layer running all the way round.

When it comes to taste in similar style to the Fast Break, the chocolate coating is completely lost in the chewy nougat. Conversely the nougat has a far more distinct creamy nutty flavour which is far more flavoursome than its counterpart. The thin layer of peanut butter between the nougat and the chocolate coating more does a job of keeping the centre stuck to the coating rather than giving it a powerful flavour hit. This is a tad disappointing as just the added element of a real smooth peanut butter kick would probably score this bar a bit higher - unfortunately this is lacking in the current product.

Overall the Whipps bar is suprising in that it is a far more favoursome product than the Fast break. Unfortunately it still lacks the real standout flavour that is needed for it to be considered amongst the higher end of the scoring system; however as far as having a bar that fufills your hunger completely and has a tasty flavour, you could do alot worse. decent.
