Payment Information

When you choose how you would like to pay you will be taken to the payment processer’s payment page. This is the most secure method of payment available. We will never have any access to your credit/debit card information at any time.

Sagepay Payment
Simply click on the card type you wish to use and enter in your information. You can also select to pay with Paypal if you wish.

Sagepay have introduced the new 3D Secure system on all card payments. 3D secure is also known as ‘Verified by Visa’ and ‘Mastercard SecureCode’. If you have not enrolled already you will be asked to enter in a password for your card to use for future purchases. We have provided you with some further information on this system.


What is 3D Secure?

3D Secure stands for Three Domain Secure – the payment industry’s internet authentication standard which has been developed by the major card schemes. Visa has called their version of the scheme ‘Verified by Visa’ and MasterCard have called their equivalent initiative ‘MasterCard SecureCode’. These are both collectively referred to as 3D Secure.

3D Secure authentication requires the cardholder to register their card to take advantage of this service. This is a one time process which takes place on the card issuer’s website and involves the cardholder answering several security questions to which only the card issuer and cardholder will know the answer. The cardholder selects a password and agrees on a secret phrase, which will be used by the card issuer during each online transaction.

3D Secure can be thought of as an online version of ‘Chip and Pin’ technology, whereby the cardholder has a personalised password registered with their card that is entered during the checkout process. 3D Secure is predicted to become the industry standard by the end of 2007 and all online consumers will soon become as familiar with this, as when they enter their ‘Pin’ number at a cash machine or till in a shop.

Paying by Cheque/Postal Order
If you wish to pay by cheque simply click on the 'Pay by Cheque' button in the checkout screen. You will then be provided with all the information you need to send the cheque to us.

Please note - Orders will not be dispatched until the cheque has cleared.

LARGE ORDERS

For security any orders over £100 must be sent to the billing address.



Problems with Orders/Returns

We aim to bring you 100% satisfaction with every order but if there is a problem please email us at james@candypirate.com. We can accept returns for a refund on the basis that all items are unopened and not damaged in any way. Please get approval from us first before returning any items; this must be within 7 days of delivery.

We cannot refund the cost of shipping the items to you or your return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed with us.


Due to health regulations, we are not able to accept any return products where original packaging is not fully intact.

Goods Damaged in Transit

We will always make every effort to prevent damage to goods in transit. We do recommend that if you are not in to sign for your parcel then to try and collect your order as soon as possible to prevent problems such as products melting in hot weather. If your order is noticably damaged when your parcel is delivered please note the damage when you sign for it. If you are unhappy with the condition of your order when it arrives please contact us james@candypirate.com.


Stock Levels

We understand its disappointing to order a product only to find out it's not in stock. Here at CandyPirate we try our best to make sure all candy listed is fully in stock. In the unlikely case that one of our products is out of stock we will contact you by email. If we do not receive a reply before your order is due to be dispatched to avoid delay we will refund you for the missing item and send your order out. We will contact you by email when we have refunded you.


Data Protection

We will only ever use the information we collect from you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
